Other professionals I trust

Coaching does a particular job and it does not do every job. When what someone needs sits outside it, these are the people I point them towards.

The Marion Gluck Clinic

Dr Ghazala Aziz-Scott

GP, functional medicine and bioidentical hormones

A GP who spent more than twenty years as a senior partner in a large West London NHS practice before moving into functional medicine and bioidentical hormone balancing. She holds an MA in Neuroscience, Medical Ethics and Law from Cambridge, trained as a GP in Oxford and has been a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners since 1995.

Her areas of expertise include perimenopause, menopause, PCOS, endometriosis, PMS and PMDD.

When I suggest them

For women who are late-diagnosed and finding that perimenopause has made everything harder at once. The interaction between hormones and ADHD symptoms is real, it is under-discussed and it is not something coaching can address on its own.

Online across the UK, with in-person consultations in Harley Street and Chiswick.

The Cambridge ADHD & Autism Centre

Dr Chris Schramm

GP with an interest in neurodiversity, particularly ADHD

A GP who qualified in Australia and has worked in Cambridge since 1993, including eighteen years as a partner at Shelford Medical Practice and spells as a GP Trainer and Training Programme Director. He co-founded the Cambridge ADHD & Autism Centre with consultant psychiatrist Dr Anna Conway Morris.

He has completed ADHD assessment and treatment training with the UK Adult ADHD Network and the Royal College of Psychiatrists, has a particular interest in adjusting medication regimes and is a Director of the British Association for Neurodiversity.

When I suggest them

For anyone who needs an assessment instead of coaching or as well as it — and for people already diagnosed who are struggling to get their medication right. The Centre is CQC registered and sees children from six as well as adults.

Stow-cum-Quy and Fulbourn, near Cambridge, with online consultations.

The Somerville Clinic

Dr Catherine Durkin

Consultant forensic psychiatrist, women's mental health

A consultant psychiatrist with more than ten years in the NHS, currently Clinical Lead for the Women's Service Line within the Health and Justice Division at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. She was previously Joint Presidential Lead for Women and Mental Health at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, where she co-led its position statement on menopause and mental illness.

She holds an MA from Cambridge, an MSc from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and an MBBS with distinction from St George's. She is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Her work covers ADHD and autism in adult women, complex PTSD and the links between mental health and hormonal change, including PMDD and perimenopause. Her approach is trauma-informed.

When I suggest them

For women whose picture is more complicated than ADHD on its own. Where trauma, PMDD or perimenopause are tangled up with the attention difficulties, an assessment that looks at all of it together is worth far more than one that takes each piece separately.

10 Harley Street, London.

What this list is and is not

These are people whose work I know and rate, listed here because clients ask me who I would send them to. I am not paid anything for the referral and I have no commercial arrangement with any of them.

I am a coach, not a clinician. Nothing here is medical advice and nobody should read it as a diagnosis or a treatment recommendation. Whether any of these services is right for you is a conversation to have with them or with your own GP.
